Contactless Pickup and Returns!

Freedom Trailer Rentals operates using primarily contactless customer pickups and returns. If we are not onsite during your scheduled pickup, you will receive a temporary lockbox code and instructions for getting you on your way.  Want someone around to help out? We're glad to help, just be sure to text or call before booking to make arrangements so that we can be onsite during your preferred pickup/return window.

  • Freedom Trailer Rentals is located in Clyde, Michigan, just outside of Port Huron.

  • Ready to pick up a trailer and hit the road? We get it! Before you hook up, here's what you'll need to have as the driver:

    • Valid Driver's License: Make sure your license isn't expired and that the driver meets our minimum renter age requirement of 18 years old.
    • Valid Proof of Insurance on Tow Vehicle
    • A Capable Vehicle: The tow vehicle must be capable of safely towing the weight of the trailer and the cargo you plan to add to it. Your vehicle is also required to have a 7-pin connector in order to ensure proper trailer lighting and braking functions.  Customer is responsible for knowing their tow vehicle's towing limit and not exceeding manufacturer limits.

  • Our fleet currently consists of a 20' x 8.5' Load Trail vehicle hauler, a 7.5'x16' Legend aluminum enclosed trailer, and a 7'x16' utility trailer with 1 ft. tall sides. We also offer a dual E-Bike/Motorcycle hitch mounted carrier.

  • Nope! When you rent a trailer from us, you're free to take it anywhere in the United States, and you'll pay the same rate regardless of mileage. 

  • We're thrilled that you're ready to book a trailer! Simply click on the trailer you want to book, select the desired dates at the top of the page, and complete our easy checkout process. The day you create your booking, you will receive a text messaged link to E-Sign our Rental Agreement. After we review your submitted agreement we will provide you with the pickup address, temporary lockbox code to unlock the trailer, and any other information needed to get you on your way!
